Peats Beast是英國獨立裝瓶商Fox Fitzgerald旗下的單一麥芽威士忌品牌。從名字我們就可以知道，這個品牌的威士忌都是重泥煤風味。2010年成立的Fox Fitzgerald並不是一個歷史悠久的獨立裝瓶商，但是它的創始人Eamonn Jones和Aidan Smith都是從業30年的資深威士忌業內人士，兩人都為Whyte & Mackay工作過，Eamonn Jones曾經擔任區域銷售經理，負責Dalmore和Jura等品牌的銷售。像Peats Beast這種比較有水準的IB，為威士忌愛好者提供了更多的選擇，是OB之外非常不錯的補充。至於原酒到底是哪家的，Peats Beast官網說可能來自Islay島，也可能不是，從高地甚至speyside採購泥煤原酒都是可能的
Peats Beast Batch Strength PX Sherry Wood Finish在PX雪莉桶中熟陳9個月，為限量裝瓶單桶原酒。簡稱「PX」的Pedro Xim?nez雪莉酒，酒色深似醬油，以曬乾後的Pedro Xim?nez葡萄經氧化陳年法釀製而成，是甜度非常高的甜型雪莉酒。所以酒款的酒色呈現成熟的紅棕色調，在花香中帶著一絲煙燻味，富有葡萄乾、成熟蘋果與水蜜桃果香，以及濃厚的焦糖、黑棗及木質調性，巧妙地平衡了馥郁的甜香，讓整體香氣極具層次及變化。口感甜順、厚實且濃稠，尾韻豐富而悠長。
