台灣菸酒公司TTL在2008年於南投中興新村 的南投酒廠 設立了蒸餾廠,而且購買蘇格蘭的乾燥大麥芽來釀造威士忌,而且可以從麥芽粉碎、糖化、發酵、蒸餾、木桶熟成一貫作業。
A Taiwanese single malt whisky matured in bourbon casks, produced by Nantou, a state-owned distillery which began producing whisky back in 2008.
Nose: Lemon and orange peels, a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, runny caramel.
Palate: Milk chocolate, toffee, vanilla essence and ripe banana.
Finish: Honey’d barley and a touch of dried tropical fruit.
